  • 1. How well is Noor Takaful backed?

    Noor Takaful General PJSC and Noor Takaful Family PJSC are members of the Noor Investment Group. Noor Investment Group is directly owned by and affiliated with the Investment Corporation of Dubai, Dubai Group, and the government of Dubai. The board of directors of various companies within the Noor Investment Group includes prominent and influential business names in the UAE.

    Noor Takaful enjoys one of the strongest retakaful (Islamic reinsurance) support available in the market. The highly experienced management team has ensured that retakaful support is sourced from only A-rated retakaful and reinsurance providers.

  • 3. How do I file a complaint?

    Please send your complaint and attach full documentation and narrative of your experience to: Head of Operations, Noor Takaful General PJSC, Business Central Towers, 35th level, Dubai Media City, Dubai, UAE. PO Box 49998. We will conduct an investigation and respond to your complaint in a timely manner.


  • 4. How can I pay the contribution due for my takaful certificate?

    Please see our contact us page and visit us at a customer service location near you. Initially, we will only be offering motor and travel takaful quotes online with immediate payment facility through a secure payment gateway. Currently we only accept the following credit cards.


  • Payment Options

    Please note that we do not store your credit card number in our company database. Online credit card transactions are conducted through a secure payment gateway hosted on a Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) enabled and trusted site.


    Please note that currently the only form of acceptable online transaction currency is AED. Only credit cards issued by UAE based banks can be accepted on our site.


  • 5. How is my privacy protected?

    Please see our Privacy Policy page for details on how we ensure that your privacy is protected. In particular, please see the section on how information collected from you will be used. All online quote and payment data is first encrypted and then transmitted. We do not store your credit card information in our company database when you make a payment online. Online credit card transactions are conducted through a secure payment gateway hosted on a Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) enabled and trusted site.


  • 6. Where can I find a description of the products currently available for participation on-line?

    Currently only our motor and travel takaful products are available for participation online. Please visit the product pages for motor and travel takaful for a full description of the products and their complete terms and conditions.


  • 7. How will I receive delivery of the products I participation on-line?

    Delivery of our online products is either via electronic mail, pickup from a branch, or via courier. The choice is given to the customer at the time of payment. Additional charges may apply.

    • Electronic email delivery is conducted on the same business day and usually immediately after participation.

    • A pickup from a branch can be done immediately after participating online. Please bring your online receipt with you.

    • A courier delivery takes 2-3 business days after the day of paticipation.

    All other products are available via our professional sales representatives. Please contact us for additional information on how to participate in these products.


Motor Takaful


  • 1. Do I need an original motor takaful certificate?

    Yes. UAE Traffic Law mandates that you submit an original motor takaful certificate in a standard format in order to register your vehicle.


  • 2. What if a quote for my vehicle is not available online?

    You may contact us to check if we can still provide you with a cover. Non-standard vehicle covers and quotes are not available online.


  • 3. Why is the motor takaful certificate valid for 13 months?

    The traffic department requires a 13 month cover for registration purposes. The traffic department will provide you with registration for 12 months and will give you a one month period to re-register during which - some fines may apply. Please check with the traffic department for further details. The 13 month takaful cover helps ensure that your vehicle is covered during this entire period.


  • 4. Can I cancel my motor takaful cover at any time and get a refund?

    The vehicle owner must ensure that takaful or insurance cover is valid as long as the motor registration is valid. To cancel the cover, adequate documentation must be presented, including but not limited to proof of canceled registration, presentation of alternative tafakul / insurance cover, and traffic department’s transfer of ownership documents. The some contribution may be refunded after deducting applicable fees and current contribution charges due.   • 5. What do I do in case of an accident or claim?

    Please remain calm and stay put in a safe location where you are not obstructing traffic. Call the police. Please ensure you wait for the police in a safe location. You must follow the steps outlined in our motor takaful handbook to register a claim, submit documents, and get your vehicle repaired. If necessary, please call roadside emergency assistance to move your vehicle to a secure location. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us .


Travel Takaful


  • 1. Which takaful cover do I need to fulfill insurance requirements for a Schengen visa?

    You can participate in our high-value Travel Plus package especially designed for UAE residents travelling to Schengen countries and the U.K. To purchase additional features, please see our Travel Gold packages options as well. The Travel Plus package cannot be used for travel outside of Schengen and the U.K.

  • 3. Can I cancel my travel takaful cover at any time and get a refund?

    Generally, once the contribution has been paid, the travel takaful certificate cannot be cancelled. Only on an exceptional and valid basis, can a Participant qualify for a refund at one of our customer service locations. The Participant must bring along the original certificate, passport, and other supporting documentation as detailed in the travel takaful terms and conditions.
